I've been in a bit of a funk of late, but the new breath of warm weather that's come through recently has broken through the grey fog, and I'm getting excited about spring! In response, I've found my hands reaching for greens when I'm dyeing of late, so the shop update this weekend (Sunday 15 March at 2pm) is going to have a lot of green combos available.
Happy New Year! Wait a minute....it's been the new year for almost four weeks now. I guess I'm just way behind the times. I've got some announcements to share, and some new color ways coming up in Sunday's shop update.
Announcement #1: This year, for the first time, you'll be able to find Porpoise Fur at your local fiber festival. That's right - we are hitting the show circuit for the first time, with stalls at the I Knit Fandango in London on 15-16th May, Fibre-East in Bedfordshire on 25-26th July, and the Yarn in the City Pop-Up Marketplace, again in London, on 5 September. If you are at any of these festivals, please come by and say hello. I'd love to meet you!
Announcement #2: I am teaching a few classes in March and April at A Yarn Story in Bath. On 21st March, I will be teaching a beginner's Drop Spindle class and my Beginnings and Endings class, which is all about different types of cast-ons and bind-offs. On 18th April, I'll be teaching a class on Swatching, and probably another drop spindling class. You can find details on A Yarn Story's website here.
Announcement #3: there will be a fiber update this Sunday, 25th January, at 8 pm. This will include three (!) new colorways - Gordon Dress on Shetland (Phat Fiber January colorway), Willow Hearth on Cheviot and Romney, and Market Rainbow on Suffolk. Also in this update are Coomassie Blue and Xylene Cyanole on BFL (I'm on a bit of a blue streak apparently).
